Since the release of the original Overwatch in 2016, Blizzard has created numerous alternate skins for the characters in the game. With Overwatch 2 out now, the impressive cosmetics collection for heroes continues to grow. However, it is not just Blizzard coming up with new designs for fan-favorite characters. Many gamers are creating their own Overwatch 2 fan art, giving new looks to some classic heroes, such as Ana.

Thanks to new fan art, gamers can see what the Banana Ana skin meme would look like in Overwatch 2. A concept artist known as Evanyla recently created a skin concept for Overwatch 2 that transformed the look of the support into that of a yellow banana. The artwork that was posted to the Overwatch Cavalry Twitter account showed Ana wearing clothing with yellow-colored accents. However, the main highlight of the design was a ripening banana peel the character had draped around her.
The artwork included an impressive amount of detail, rivaling some of the official skins created by Blizzard for Overwatch 2. However, the artist humorously gave the skin a price of 1 Overwatch Coin and named it “Banana.” In addition to a close-up image of the design, Evanyla made a mock-up of the skin concept in the hero menu, making it feel like a legitimate in-game cosmetic.
Unsurprisingly, this skin concept has been a hit with numerous members of the Overwatch 2 community. In fact, the pictures of Banana Ana were shared on Reddit and have gained 4.2K upvotes, while the original tweet has over 11.8K likes. As one might expect, users have been making a number of jokes about the skin, including several related to the Overwatch 2 tank Winston. “Lower winrate due to Winston more frequently diving her,” one fan joked. In addition, some gamers could not help but notice similarities between this skin and Peely from Fortnite.
While Banana Ana is only a fan-made skin concept, it would be interesting to see Blizzard add it to the team-based shooter in the future. In addition to this skin, other gamers have been creating concept art for their favorite characters in the Overwatch series. For example, one gamer made a God of War Ragnarok-inspired skin for Roadhog. While fans will have to wait and see if any fan-inspired creations make it into the game in the future, at least they know what the Banana Ana skin would look like in Overwatch 2.
