With Overwatch 2 being free-to-play, the opportunities for memorable moments has seemingly increased thanks to a larger number of players now having access to the title. Already, social media and similar sites like Reddit have had no shortage of people posting about odd glitches, funny moments, or even impressive plays made during a match such as an Orisa player using a lucky javelin throw to out snipe a Widowmaker. Unfortunately for the sniper character, she’s again outplayed by an enemy Reaper who took an opportunity to add a little humor to the situation.

The latest Overwatch 2 clip comes from Nicholaskoughan, whose post title sums things up fairly well: “Sorry Widowmaker…” The video shows Reaper, coming up behind a Widowmaker player that immediately starts running to get a good vantage point. The Reaper continues to follow behind them, their footsteps seemingly being masked by the loud heels of Widowmaker running to her spot. Eventually, the Widow player finds a solid vantage point and stops to set up, at which point the Reaper player decides to troll by using the “Hi” emote and then proceeds to use their Ultimate Ability to take them out.

While many of the comments highlighted the footsteps and how the Widow wasn’t able to hear themselves being followed, especially by a character that many believe has the loudest footsteps. Some attempted to explain it by commenting that the Widow may have been playing on mute or potentially listening to music. Others couldn’t help but make jokes at the situation including the fact that the Reaper decided to use their Death Blossom Ultimate to solo kill an unaware enemy player.

While this kill was more comical, others have been posting impressive highlights during matches. On the Rialto map, one Doomfist player was able to use the bridge and a single punch to earn a triple kill. In another clip on Nepal, a different Overwatch 2 player performed a triple concussion mine jump to earn a team wipe with Junkrat’s RIP-Tire Ultimate to secure victory in overtime.

Overwatch 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
