Reddit user HelmeFurSchildkroten shared a video that shows their unfortunate incident with an airplane in GTA Online. The footage shows them doing a mission where they need to destroy an oil tanker on a freeway. Like many Grand Theft Auto Online players, HelmeFurSchildkroten chose an airplane to reach their target. They neatly land the plane on the highway, right behind the tanker that needs to be blown up. However, the GTA Online player doesn’t wait for the plane to come to a complete halt and jumps out of it while it is still moving.
The following moments of the video show that HelmeFurSchildkroten made a poor decision in leaving the plane in motion. As they jump out of the aircraft, the inertia causes their character to lose balance and ultimately fall down. Part of the plane stops above their torso, causing them to get stuck between the airplane and the ground. They try to get back up, but the plane prevents it from happening, which looks hilarious. The player is caught in a perpetual loop where they’re unable to stand up due to the airplane’s position. The GTA Online video doesn’t clarify what eventually happens to HelmeFurSchildkroten or how they get out from under the plane.
This is not the first time a gamer was stuck in an awkward position in Grand Theft Auto Online because of the game’s physics. Many gamers find themselves in unusual situations in GTA Online but are unable to get out. However, Rockstar releases regular updates to keep gamers engaged in GTA Online, and the game has not declined in popularity.
