While many shooters seem to have cookie-cutter bosses that only offer a bit of extra challenge for the player, Squanch Games took a very different approach when crafting the bosses for High on Life. Each boss has a distinct role in the G3 Cartel hierarchy, and they all offer plenty of laugh-out-loud moments. No two bosses are alike, and players may be debating who is the best cartel member for years to come.

Krubis

After players defeat the crime boss 9-Torg, they will be tasked with hunting down one of the first members of the G3 Cartel, Krubis. He resides at the Jungle Overlook on Zephyr Paradise and is responsible for overseeing the mining and shipping operations of the Furgle population. The G3 Cartel turns these teddy bear-like beings into drugs, and Krubis heads up the entire operation. However, he is still the lowest-ranked member of the cartel and seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder because of it. Bounty hunters who want to take him out will have to be prepared to dodge his drill-like appendages and deal with all of his bent-up rage.

Douglas

The other bounty that players can pursue after killing 9-Torg is the Chief of Training and Torture of the G3 Cartel, Douglas. He operates out of the planet of Port Terrene, and it is there that he helps train the next generation of G3 goo-covered alien grunts. He is a very unpredictable squid-like being that often parties a bit too hard and is apparently on thin ice with the rest of the cartel. He thrives on torturing others, and the player will have to avoid all his traps as they attempt to take him out.

Dr. Giblets

After players defeat Krubis and Douglas, they can pursue two more bounties that include the head of the G3 Cartel’s R&D Department Dr. Giblets. He is responsible for creating the warp base technology that the G3 uses, and he is apparently the brightest mind that the cartel has. He is also a bit of a hermit and spends much of his time off the grid in his remote warp-base laboratory. He resides on Zephyr Paradise, and players will have to overcome many trials as they try to track him down.

Skrendel Bros

Players can also hunt down the three Skrendel Brothers after defeating Krubis and Douglas. These three brothers are pretty gross looking as they each have one giant eye and their mouth seems to be where their legs should be. They run Skrendel Labs together on Zephyr Paradise, and they are responsible for researching new product innovations like new types of drugs and cloning. They also have the ability to combine themselves into the menacing Bro-Tron which can prove to be a bit of a challenge for any bounty hunter brave enough to take them on.

Nipulon

Nipulon is the G3 Cartel’s second-in-command, and players can only defeat him after they have killed all the previous bounties. He is one of the most feared members of the cartel, and he runs an illegal drug lounge on Port Terrene. Players will have to disrupt his illegal operations and save as many humans as they can from his clutches. He is a pretty powerful and menacing foe that will test the mettle of any bounty hunter who wants to take him out. After all, he did not gain the title of second-in-command because he was weak.

Garmantuous

Garmantuous is the giant sentient goo-like alien that leads the entire G3 Cartel, and players are able to pursue him after they defeat Nipulon. Garmantuous is responsible for the planet-wide genocide and enslavement of countless species for drugs and is one of the most feared beings in the galaxy. During High on Life, Garmantuous resides on Earth as he attempts to sell off the human race through his infamous drug trade. Players will have to fight through the planet they call home as they attempt to rid the world of his influence, and maybe even save the galaxy along the way.
