There are plenty of mods that players can find in the game, but how to attach them to each gun is not explicitly stated in High on Life. Here’s how to use the modifications.

Where To Find Mods
There are many places to find mods throughout High on Life. Some of them come in lugloxes, which are hidden in all sorts of corners around the many areas the player will explore. Others can be purchased. The pawn shop in Blim City and the shop in Port Terrene in Dregg Town are the most reliable bets, although there are other stores to investigate. Finding a mod isn’t too difficult, but knowing what to do with it may not be a system immediately familiar to the player.
How To Equip Weapon Mods
Once a mod has been found and placed into the player’s inventory, access the pause menu. Click over to the ‘Inventory’ screen in the pause menu. Here, the player can view their mods, upgrades, items, and warp discs that have been collected thus far. For mods, simply access the gun and select the appropriate modification to apply to it. The mods apply cosmetic changes to the Gatlians, as well as specific combat adjustments.
For example, with the ‘Bounceflector Mod,’ Kenny changes from blue to purple. This specific mod allows Kenny the ability to ricochet regular shots off of his Glob Shot juggles, which adds additional damage to enemies grouped below someone that the player is trying to shoot in the air. Kenny has one other mod that can be found in the shop in Dregg Town (just next to one of Dr. Joopy’s puzzles), which multiplies his Glob Shot.
Each modification in the game has some unique adjustment to the way the guns function in combat, leveling up the action to an all-time high. True to High on Life’s intent, the gameplay is designed to allow for upgrades that redefine exploration and open up combat to a more fluid, sandbox play-style. It’s up to the player to seek out specific mods that will adjust combat to their specific desires.
