It’s easy to get lost in Dreg Town but fun to explore its main zones where players can locate chests, from Dreg Town Center to its Underbelly. Players must utilize many of the game’s weird weapon abilities to discover all chests and obtain their secrets. Many are well-hidden, so players must use all their acquired bounty hunter skills to open every one.
Dreg Town Center
There are 9 chests in Dreg Town Center as follows:
Inside the fan behind the green alien NPC next to the portal. On a building on a ledge opposite the area with the fan and the portal. Players can also find a 2nd chest located on top of this same building. On a small ledge just past the portal - use the Hook Bug and Gus’ platform ability to reach the chest. At the top of the same building with the preceding chest. Use the jetpack to gain height and reach the top. At this point, players may spot another chest on top of the opposite building and can use one of Gus’ platforms combined with the jetpack to get across. In the same building, there’s another chest on a corner ledge higher up opposite the glowing platform wall. Opposite the preceding area, hook onto the magnetic wall and follow it around using the mag boots. Players can then use the jetpack to reach the platform of the opposite building and grab the chest in the middle. On top of the yellow building next to the space car crossing point.
Dreg Town Cleft
Players can find 5 chests in the Dreg Town Cleft zone as listed below:
On top of the building with the orange pipes. On a ledge on top of a building next to the orange pipes, using the pipes to climb across. On top of the building near the set of fans. Opposite the building with the fan and portal in Dreg Town Center. The building is in the distance and contains a chest at the top with an NPC nearby. On top of the tall central rock which is climbable using Gus’ platform ability.
Lower Dreg Town
There are 2 chests in Lower Dreg Town as follows:
Look for the glob shot platform by the fenced area on the right and either shoot it or jetpack across the top to reach the other side. Here, the chest is on the left underneath some boxes behind a yellow alien NPC who likes graffiti, in a possible nod to the game’s secret graffiti art. It’s not possible to open the chest until the NPC walks away, so shoot the graffiti wall by the NPC using Manny’s Glob Shot which pleases the NPC enough to move. On a building opposite the yellow building in Dreg Town Center. Use the zipline to tether across to this building. The chest is inside a small enclosed balcony on the building immediately next to the player.
Dreg Town Plaza
The highest number of chests are located in Dreg Town Plaza with 11 chests in total to find and open. Use Sweezy to stop the fans protecting the tunnel entrance to Dreg Town Plaza to gain access to the area, containing chests located as follows:
On top of the building next to the fan tunnel exit point. Behind the fenced area to the left when players enter the area from the fan tunnel. In a corner close to Dreg Town Station. On a small rocky ledge by the glowing wall, that players can hook platforms on using Gus. On a ledge above the preceding chest. Behind a small garage door up the staircase at street level. Just below the garage doors, underneath the preceding chest described. On top of the tall Krust Lord pink building. On a platform at the top of the magnetic wall just in front of the Vacant Lot area which is climbable using the mag boots. Although this chest is behind a force field, players can still open it using Knifey and obtain its contents. Next to the same magnetic wall at the top of a small ledge to the left. Players can use one of Creature’s children to gain access.
Vacant Lot
The Vacant Lot contains only one chest. To reach it, players can head through Dreg Town Plaza and use the ziplines to get to the area with a magnetic wall. Opposite this area is a small platform area called the Vacant Lot that players can reach by tethering the Hook Bug to transverse the gap. Inside, the chest is on a stack of boxes.
Dreg Town Underbelly
Players can find one chest in the Dreg Town Underbelly area. Look for the large, circular stadium where players fight Dr. Giblets, close to the portal in Dreg Town Center.
Opposite the stadium are a set of zip lines leading to a shipping crate area. Use Knifey to tether across and grab the luglox chest on top of the shipping container.
Maintenance Station A
There is only one chest in Maintenance Section A. Head outside the Station’s exit, and instead of using the ziplines to tether back to Dreg Town Plaza, turn around to land on the platform at the zipline starting point. The chest is located just around the corner.
Maintenance Station B
Players can find one luglox chest sitting atop a rock in the green slime in Maintenance Section B, where players must solve one of the many pipe puzzles in this part of the main story.
Maintenance Station C
Players can discover one chest opposite Maintenance Station C, the large factory area surrounding the Douglas bounty boss battle area. The chest is on a rocky ledge opposite Maintenance Station C, which players can reach using the jetpack.
Thomas Michael Phillips Sr. Memorial Court
There are 4 chests to open in the Thomas Michael Phillips Sr. Memorial Court as follows:
On a high ledge to the left of the G3 Recruitment Centre. A yellow luglox chest variant is on another ledge close to the preceding chest. Inside the G3 Recruitment Centre at the back of a shipping crate in the training grounds area, just before players reach the tricky obstacle course. On top of the building opposite the G3 Recruitment Centre.
